CIS ialah pengurusan ilmu bagi Program Keselamatan dan Kesihatan di Tempat Kerja dan Persekitaran yang bertujuan untuk memastikan para pekerja dan masyarakat mengambil berat soal perlindungan diri dan seterusnya memahami keperluan mencegah kecederaan dan penyakit-penyakit berkaitan pekerjaan. Bermula dengan hanya 11 negara ahli, kini CIS telah mempunyai keahlian dari lebih daripada 100 buah negara termasuk Malaysia yang diwakili oleh NIOSH.



CIS is the knowledge management arm of the Programme on Safety and Health at Work and the Environment (SafeWork). Its goal is to ensure that workers and everyone concerned with their protection have access to the facts they need to prevent occupational injuries and diseases. The original 11-member network of National Centres has grown to cover 100 countries all over the world. NIOSH representing Malaysia is one of the many ILO member States – National and Collaborating Centres.

1. A904054 Course "Basic risk assessment" Turin, Italy; 31 January - 4 February 2011.These course gives participants the knowledge and skills to effectively use the basic risk assessment technique for the improvement of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) conditions in enterprises.

2. A904055 Course "Occupational safety and health management in the construction sector" Turin, Italy; from 14 - 18 February 2011.
These course aims at strengthening the capacity for the implementation and development of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) management practices in the construction enterprises.

6. A904081 Course "The employment injury schemes and the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases". Turin, Italy; from 21 November to 2 December 2011.
